Photos from the Bahamas aboard Aqua Cat Dec 2006

Black Coral

The view from a swim through at Pillar Ledge shows the walls covered with black coral

Lion Fish

This is not the greatest exposure but I was having trouble with the camera strobe. It does give you a good idea of what these fish that are not native to the Bahamas look like.

Sea Fans

One of my first memories of diving the Bahamas was of sea fans just like this one.

Tube sponge and Fans

Yellow tube sponges and sea fans lined the walls of Empress Pinnacle.

Queen Angel

These fish always fascinate me with their brilliant colors.

Another Queen Angel

They almost look like the colors are painted on.

Wall with Corals and Fish

The amazing amount of corals, sponges and sea fans set off another Queen Angel.

Sting Ray

This is how I like to find sting rays - in the sand and just waiting for whatever.

Barrel Sponges

Sponges and sea fans again in a typical Bahamas like setting.

A Reef Shark

One of the many sharks attracted to the shark feeding.

Shark

Sillouetted against the water this shark was also at the shark feeding.

Yellow Tube Sponges

These sponges usually grow in clumps like this. Simply beautiful.
